APW - E. Howard & Co, Boston, Series VII, 15J, deer grade, N-S (just over 19S), 14K multicolor gold original C.W.Mfg.Co. (Courvoisier, Wilcox Mfg. Co.) HC with scalloped band, beautiful multicolor leaf and flower detail to front and rear, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, umbrella style hands, SW-SS, 15J, nickel damascene, s#226792. Gross weight of assembled watch 95.5 dwt (148.6 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, winding mechanism skipping occasionally, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine scratches, profuse micro-fine to ultra-fine scratch striations to main plate, regulator assembly with oxide; dial with hl above seconds-register; excellent hands; case with metal loss to inner ledge of rear frame at mvt case screw position allowing mvt to drop out of its seat (this piece would be an excellent candidate for skilled repair of this issue by laser welding of gold in this area), case body shows very little wear, pendant showing ample wear, few mild soft dings to upper portion of rear, cuvette with a prominent small circular depression, excellent engraving detail, case rear and cuvette falling closed freely with gravity and cuvette with a bit of play at hinge, pendant sockets with evident past soldered repair, notch filed to edge of cuvette presumably from a past test of gold content; tight somewhat brassy gold-filled replacement bow, crown shows medium wear with small ridge break; glass crystal turning freely and with some play within bezel.
